Question:
Necessities for bypass surgery
Can anyone give me suggestions on what to bring to the hospital for surgery? — boogie107811 (posted on April 30, 2009)

I am happy for you, hope all goes well. I am 7 days out today. I took robe,
house slippers, crosswords books (did not do), a small bottle of
anitbacterial soap, tooth brush and paste, sanitary pads (just in case),
deodorant (travel size), and oil of olay. I also took my Ipod but I did not
listen to it. I'm glad I did not take more than that.

so dry in hospitals. Good luck, i wish you all the best.

Hi! I just left the hospital, and I brought books and mags, and cloths,
the only thing I used was my cell phone, my pain button, and my glasses, I
didnt end up reading, or anything so minimal is better.

A robe and slippers and deoderant are the most important, but don't bring
too much stuff to do because the doctors are very big on patients walking
the halls as much as possible from the same day of surgury. It's all worth
it, and I wish you the best of luck :)

As little as possible to have to carry out when u leave. I only used my
cell and one magazine. I didnt read much of that. Chapstick is a
necessity. Moisturizer, robe and slippers. Good luck. I am two weeks
out. Hope u do well.

Definitely lip balm. I took magazines and books I never touched. It was
only an overnight stay and I was mostly walking the halls or sleeping, but
I definitely used the lip balm and the stuff the nurse gave me tasted like
Prep H. Who knows, maybe it was.
