Question:
I swallowed some gum by accident will I be ok?

Not sure what surgery you had....but how long ago did you swallow it and if you aren't having any symptoms, I'd assume it passed through easily. I do know they suggest you NOT chew gum for the obvious reason in which you're writing.....we accidently swallow....and then we end up having to have a scope down our throats to remove it. Hopefully you're lucky this time and it just slid through....but I wouldn't chance it again......go for sugar free breath mints instead. Best of luck. Hugs....Cheryl

hello i did the same thing a few weeks ago i guess i pass it nothing happen to me i had gastrin bypass march 11 2008 you should be ok

I SWALLOWED GUM 1X AND IM FINE. YOU SHOULD BE OK.

I had RNY over a year ago & have swallowed gum 2 or 3 times. If it blocks your pouch opening you will know. I didn't have any problems.
