Question:
Has anyone experienced no weight loss because of high sodium intake?
The recomended sodium intake is 2400 mg a day, which is oretty low for me since I loooooooooove flavorful foods full of sodium. Does anyone love sodium as much as I do and if so have you found it to slow down or stop your weight loss after the surgery,,(preferably lap-band patients)? — cau_lady (posted on December 6, 2007)

Lower sodium intake should be your goal after surgery. Sodium can make you
dehydrated, and many people have enough problems drinking 48-64 ounces of
water daily. High sodium intake will act like a diarrhetic, and I've spoke
to people at support groups who required IV fluids to help them get over
dehydration. Slow the salt intake way down.
