Question:
Anyone heard of or used Dr. Alejandro Aguirre?

Hi Tanya, I'ev not used him, but definitely looked into him. Check the "south of the border" forum, lots of people have used him from tehre. good luck!

i have not researched this in awhile but when i had my surgrey their were dodotors here in the states that took less than that , because that was more than most insurance companies paid. look into it and research the few doctor that are still HMO they would most likely agree to it as a self pay. Make sure though you check the qualifications of the doctor , your life depends on it.

I went to Dr. Aguirre and highly recommend him. You can read my profile to learn of my experience. As for the comment about there being doctors in the US that charge less, I've never seen it. Unless the person is speaking of the surgeon's fee alone. If that is the case, you have to add on the cost of all the extras and hospitalization. The doctors here don't charge that much for their personal fees, it's the hospitalization that will get you. Here where I am it's a minimum of $20,000 for a 2 day stay and $10,000 a day thereafter. As for Dr. Aguirre, he has the years of experience and a stellar repuatation. I would go back to him in a heartbeat.

Well, I don't know of any in Mexico but I do know of a great company that schedules surgeries in Europe at quality facilities at affordable prices including airfair there (I was a self-pay as well). Feel free to email me if you want to know more. [email protected]
