Hello Roberta, My name is Melissa. I'm 3 months post-op. What I have
gathered from all this you are very normal. I have lost 41 pounds. So if
you ask me we are losing at about the same rate. I don't pay close
attention to the scales I watch my clothes and how they fit. I try to weigh
about once or twice a month. That helps alot. Belive me the weight will
come off on it's on. So don't worry enjoy losing. I hope this helps you.

sounds fine to me I lost less than 29 the first 6 weeks; and went on to
loose 150 in 10 months. Everyone looses at a different rate; no too alike.
If you following your instructions you'll do fine..

Would you have lost that amount of weight on your own? NO I don't think
so. Remember, we did not put this weight on overnight and it is not going
to come off overnight. This surgery is a tool. You have to give the tool
a chance to work. Quit playing the compare game that WE ALL play! This
period of liquid, soft foods, etc is a time that you should be using to
change your eating habits. One important part of this whole surgery is
EXERCISE! It is so important for this process to work. You need to be
walking 3 to 4 times a day. Short walks if need be. Make sure you are
eating and drinking WATER! If you don't eat. I'm 16 months post-op and
used my 6 weeks recovery to learn how to eat and deal with the emotions of
not eating (very important). Good Luck.

Hi Roberta,
My name is Terri. What's normal?? My dear hubby and 4 sons would say that
I am definitely NOT normal!!! LOL I am 14 weeks out today. As of today I
have lost 51 pounds. At 6 weeks I had lost 31 pounds. AT 8 weeks I had
lost 35.4 pounds. (My sister lost 40 in 8 weeks.)I felt like I was losing
soooo slowly, and still have days like that. I imagine I always will.
Here are a couple of things that I have done that help: Keep track of your
measurements--if my weight doesn't change, but my measurements do I know I
am still making progress. Have someone else take your measurements (Hubby
does mine.) They are more accurate--and it helps keep me honest! LOL
Chart your weight loss. I have both a month by month graph and a graph
that starts at day one will continue through my wonderful journey. It
really helps to see the results on paper! Keep your chin up. The weight
WILL come off.
hugs, Terri

Everyone loses weight at a different pace, it also depends on what type of
surgery you have had. 25 pounds sounds like you are doing really well!!!
Instead of worrying, wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big
hug for doing so well.

Hugs,
