Question:
HAVE YOU USED Dr Aguirre????

Hi Cathy~ Yes I have used Dr.Aguirre!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had insurance or $100,000.00 to pay for my WLS I would still go to Dr.Aguirre, knowing what I know now! I feel "GREAT" 14 days post-op and down 19 lbs, I can not say enough about him. If you use him be prepared to make a wonderful friend in your journey because that's exactly what your going to find in Dr.Aguirre, he is by far in my opition the best there is. He believes as do I that the surgery he preforms is better than most inside the USA. He does a "Complete Stomach Seperation" this is not the same as "Transected and Divided" where as most of the surgery's in the US are bypassed and attached at the top righthand side of the pouch, He completely seperates your stomach, bypasses and attaches at the "BOTTOM" left hand side of the pouch, he feels this is a more "Natural" process therefor causing less recovery time, and also allows you to start the soft food diet the 2nd day of being released from the hospital. It also makes alot more sense if you think about it. With most of the surgery's preformed in the US the food you eat goes into the pouch and then at some point has to go back up to be moved through the newly created hole of the pouch. I think if your looking for a Great Caring Surgeon Dr.Aguiire is by far the best I've heard of and I don't think you will have any regrets. I'am still in touch with him, he is always very happy to talk to me! He is doing this because he really wants to help us. You see it in every way he talks and treats you. I thank the Lord everyday & night for leading me to this man who saved my life without robbing me. Even through all the negative feedback from my family and this website something inside me knew this was the Dr. I was suppose to use, and I'am so THANKFUL that I followed those feelings instead of everyone else's!!!!! Yes, I had my surgery with Dr. Aguirre on 1-17-03. I think he is a fantastic surgeon and a wonderful person. He made me feel like his only patient! He still is quick to respond to my questions and is always excited to hear from me. He wants my husband and I to come back for a visit. I am extremely fond of him. If you use him for your surgery you will feel the same. (1-17-03; 285/228/150)
