I had stomach stapling 19 years ago does anyone know who will do revisions

I HAD STOMACH STAPLING AND IM LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS THAT DOES THE GASTRIC BYPASS ON SOMEONE THATS HAD STOMACH STAPLING. I HAVE HEALTH ALLIANCE INSURANCE AND WEIGH 336 LBS? CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND A DOCTOR THATS WILLING TO DO THE SURGERY IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS?    — MARILYN W. (posted on September 12, 2001)

I wish I knew of someone in your area! I can only tell you that there is a surgeon in Florida that has had results with all the revisions (although not many have been done). He does the open RNY on all his patients and he has helped a few people with revisions or helped those that are years and years out and need some "tuning up". His name is Dr. Haicken. If you go to docs, florida, he's in that list. Good luck and like i said before I know that this is not exactly close to where you would like to be, but it's my only suggestion.

Hi there, While I dont have an answer to your question...your question did intrigue me. Why do you need a revsion. I am 1 month to the day post-op and thought this was permanent wls. What happened along the way that you were able to put the weight back on? Hope you dont mind me asking....Good luck in finding a doc to help you

I don't know anybody in Illinois but if you'd like to travel to Indianapolis, Drs. Jones, Inman, and Huse all do revisions. I had my stomach stapled 6 years ago, lost many pounds but then regained it due to a staple line rupture. 10 weeks ago I had a revision and have been very happy with it. Good luck in your search.

Hi, I had stomach stapling 20 years ago, on March 19, 2001 I had a revision rny. Dr. Stoner in Davenport Iowa did my revision. I live in Ottawa Illinois, so it was about 1 1/2 hour drive from me.
