Question:
Does anyone know if PCN will approve the surgery? My bmi is 43.

I also have PCN.My BMI is 56 and I was recently denied.I wish you luck in your approval.Hope everything goes well for you.

I am also insured with PCN. My BMI is 38, but I am seeking this surgery due to other medical problems than my weight. I have yet to get approval. My surgeon's office says they will start that in March. I currently have an estimated surgery date for April. It is my understanding after reading my policy book. That treatment or surgery for morbid obesity is not covered. However, I have made some calls to PCN and was told that my medical records would be reviewed, and when it is medically necessary they will approve it. So until then...it is the waiting game.
