For me the first year was pure HELL! And the first couple of months forget
about it, I survived the best that I could, I took all my vitamins, which
had to be either liquid or ground up. I drank my fluids and I got my
protein in daily. Honey puns, in the end, it is soooooo well worth it, do
what your Dr tells you to do.

Hi I am 9 months out and 3 pounds from my goal! I still have to force
myself to eat. You absolutely have to eat and get your fluids in! I
remember also feeling very weak at times and still do at times. Be sure
you're taking all your vitamins and make yourself get up and move! I agree
with FSUmom, it is so worth it! At your stage it can be very tough. Hang
in there and do all you are suppose to do. Call your doctor, they may want
to do some blood tests. Good luck, the rewards are worth the journey!
I've been told lately by family, "you don't want to lose anymore
weight, you'll get too skinny!" Gee I never thought is hear that
comment! LovMIfun.

I am 13 months out and never had any issues or problems, I have lost 130
pounds and down to 132 now..I have heard that dizzy is part of it due to
the quick weight loss but check with your doctor. I still have to watch the
clock and make sure I eat but I put fruit flavored Proti 15 drink packets
in my water to make sure I get enough water and protein. Good luck

Hi Try to get your fluids in dont worry that much about eating your soft
foods...that will happen eventually, but you must get your protein and your
liquid in...mix your whey protein powder with your yogurt, with your
crystal light etc...make a smoothy with ice and take it in that way...if
you are having trouble eating due to you throwing it up or if you cant keep
anything in and you feel light headed and dizzy that means you are
dehydrated and MUST CALL YOUR DR RIGHT AWAY AND GO INTO YOUR EMERGENCY ROOM
ASAP!!! that is very serious...dont take it lightly....I am 4 1/2 months
post op and I ended up being admitted back into the hospital because I had
a blockeage and became so dehydrated I almost died...I am doing great now,
but I went through hell the first two months post op...this is a serious
issue..so please take care of yourself and above all else push yourself to
get your liquid proteins in...put ice in the blender put a scoop of your
protein in and a yogurt and some skim milk or soy milk and blend it...keep
in your fridge and try to drink at least 4 to 6 oz of it every 1/2 hour to
every hour...if you are having trouble taking in your water...do what I
did...put ice in the blender and crush it...or freeze your crystal light
into ice cubes and then crush it in the blender...for some reason you will
intake more liquid this way...becareful not to over do it...your body will
let you know when you have had enough...again dont worry about
"eating" soft hard foods right now...YOU MUST DRINK YOUR WATER
AND DRINK YOUR PORTEIN...GOOD LUCK...

I am 8 years out from RNY and I am still a size 4. I don't get hungry
either. That's why it is important to eat every three hours. Something
small, piece fruit, half sandwich, anything you can tolerate. Forget the
Protein powder. Don't ever do it!! The first year out your body has a lot
of adjusting to do. You need to introduce food back into your pouch not
protein powder! I don't care what anyone says. Protein powder is made for
body builders to bulk up. If you want to regain your weight back in 3 years
then by all means drink away! Forget counting grams of protein. Right now
its just important to eat small every 3 hours. Under a cup of food each
time. I don't care what it is. It's what your tummy will tolerate. Once the
weight is off your tummy will be used to real food and you will be used to
eating every 3 hours and you will be able to tolerate food protein. The
surgery only works if you eat! Weird but true. This is how I have kept my
weight off for 8 years!! Everyone I know that did Protein powder has
regained within 3 years. Up to you! Good Luck on your Journey!
