has anyone heard of an induction diet?

i was told i need to follow an induction diet to lose another 20-30 pounds prior to scheduling my surgery. has anyone done or does anyone know what this diet is about?    — stacybruck (posted on December 18, 2010)

yes. I have heard of the induction diet as it applies to the Atkins Weight loss program. it is the initial phase of the diet that puts you in ketosis.
