Question:
When I am exercising regularly, why do the scales always show a 2-3 lb. increase?
I've just noticed that when I start exercising it always appears that I've gained a couple of pounds. Thanks for ur answers in advance! :) — PaulaJ (posted on April 25, 2009)

Depends on timing of when you weigh. If you weigh right after exercise it
will go up due to fluid shift. Exercise has effect on long term weight loss
maintence. You improve muscle tone and metabolic rate to burn more at rest.
Don't let short term fluctuations sabotage your exercise regimen. Weight
loss is dependent on what we put in our mouth. Weight maintence is
dependent on regular exercise. Hang in there, you're doing the right thing.
