Ok this is my seconded question, when do you STOP losing weight?

I hit my goal at 6 months... and kept on losing. I had to see a therapist and saw my nutritionist and we got me through it. I started to try to eat more calories (protein first always) and stopped cardio, just did strength training so a while. I have know maintained for 3 months (almost at two years) and I can do cardio once or twice a week and my body hit it's new set weight. I had to come to grips with being out of control and let my body do what it needed to do. I am still happy, healthy and in control now and it's all good.

Docs usually suggest to slow down on the physical training which most do when they see the results of rapid weight loss. You also have to eat more protein for a while so your body will adjust properly. An example is that if you swim 7 days a week go down to 4 days a week. Things like that. If you like yogurt eat more for snacks. But definitely check with your doc about your concern. Good Luck and God Bless, vinnigirl, retired RN

I have heard that the nut will recommend a 4th meal or sometimes a 4th and snacks. It can be managed,..do not be scared. hugs, Kim

It the lighter weights (people with just about 100 lbs to lose) who often go under weight...The heavier weights (people with BMI's over 50) usually do not have to worry about going under at all and some struggle to get to goal (If they have one) There was an intersting thread going around on hte forums...The author had heard that most people lost to the weight they were in high school! We all took polls and it was soooooo close! I was 145lbs in high school and weigh 165 after surgery...Most were much closer! I'm over weight by 20 lbs! I'm blaming it on the loose skin! If I got rid of that...I would be closer! LOL I contiued to lose weight for about 15 mos...and lost 150 lbs which I have maintained for 5 years...so I'm very pleased! Good luck to you and don't let numbers define who you are or when you should be happy...Let how you feel be the judge of that! If you feel wonderful at 100 lbs...or 165...or even 210 lbs...We can't all be teeny tiny...But we can all be healthier and certainly thinner and happier!

My goal was 90 Lbs. I hit that months ago. I am now at 112 Lbs lost. I don't exercise at all. I have started to eat anything I want. Fried foods, chips, candy, cheese. I ate so much the month of Dec. I thought for sure I would gain 10lbs. I still lost 6 lbs. The weight keeps coming off. I am just a bone, a rag and a hank of hair (not so much hair). I still have trouble with meat unless it is ground or just cut into micro bites, and cooked very moist. I still have to take pro. supplements. I am starting to worry. I hope the reason I feel so thin is just because I am so used to being fat that I just don't know what normal is. I am 1 year on feb 10th. The weight loss has slowed to 6-8 lbs a month, so maybe it will stop soon.
