Question:
before afters
On average, what would you say is the timeframe from the "before" photo & the "after" photo? & I wish they would state if the "after" includes having had any plastic surgery. — [Deactivated Member] (posted on June 23, 2008)

My after pic was 10 months and no plastics. Just depends on the person.
Sometimes you can find out how long by looking at the profile. I
agree...would be nice if it stated that somewhere when looking at the pic!

I am 62 and mine on my blog are just before surgery and at 6 month, a
difference of 110 lbs. I have not had any plastic surgery as my RNY
surgeon tells us that you need to wait 18 months following surgery. He
says having it too soon can cause you to have to have it again, and your
body needs time to settle after you lose the weight. He showed us some
shots of a few ladies that rushed at 6 months and what they look like at 2
years just before the had it redone. Let me know if you have any problems
and I can email a few photos before and at 6 months to you.

I think it all depends on how much you have to lose and quickly or slowly
you lose it. I hear the average is once you reach goal, you should wait at
least 6 months at that weight for all to stabilize.

I took monthly pictures so that I can see the progress. I still take a
yearly picture, I am 4 1/2 years post-op. Pictures never lie. They make
me accountable to the truth. Which pictures were you referring to??
