Little over month out, What exactly should I be eating??

Me,too. I am on pureed right now with the protein drink & water &
vitamins (and prune juice to keep me from getting comnstipated)...I have
nutritional support as part of my aftercare,and I go by what she says.
Every doc is different...you need to get his/her recommendations.

Weeks 5 through 12 allow you to increase the volume of food to three ounces
at each meal. A protein supplement is no longer necessary after six weeks
post op but 24 ounces of milk daily is recommended to increase your protein
intake and meet your calcium requirements. BREAKFAST: 2 OZ protein and 1
oz. starch; LUNCH: 2 OZ. protein and 1 ounce fruit; DINNER: 2 OZ. protein
and 1 oz. vegetable. PROTEIN: LOW FAT COTTAGE CHEESE, EGGS, EGG WHITES,
LOW FAT YOGURT, CHICKEN BREAST, TURKEY BREAST, PROK CHOPS, PROK LOIN, PROK
ROAST, 95%LEAN GROUND BEEF, FISH, BEANS, LOW FAT CHEESE, CANNED TUNA,
CANNED HAM, CANNED CHICKEN CANNED LUMP CRAB MEAT AND TOFU.
STARCH: CREAM OF WHEAT, CREAM OF RICE, OATMEAL, MALT-O-MEAL, COCOA WHEATS,
GRITS, FARINA, SWEET POTATOES, MASHED POTATOES, BAKED POTATO WITHOUT THE
SKIN, SUGAR FREE DRY CERAL, AND SALTINE CRACKERS.
VEGETABLE: gREEN BEANS, PEAS, CARROTS, BEETS, SQUASH, ASPARAGUS, ZUCCHINI,
CUCUMBERS, MUSHROOMS, WATER CHESTNUTS, OKRA, TURNIPS, CAULIFLOWER, BROCCOLI
AND TOMATOES.
FRUIT: APPLESAUCE, PEACHES, PEARS, PINEAPPLE, BANANAS, CANTALOUPE,
HONEYDEW MELON, FRUIT COCTAIL, WATERMELON, MANGO, PAPAYA, KIWI,
STRAWBERRIES, CHERRIES, BLUEBERRIES, BLACKBERRIES AND PRUNES.
*Canned meats and baked fish do not have to be pureed or ground.
*Sugar free dry cerals include Fiber One, Bran Flakes, All Bran, Cheerios,
Rice Krispies, Cornflakes, Rice Chex and Puffed Wheat. Do not mix with
milk.
*Fruits and vegetables need to be chopped to a fine texture and cut into
small pieces.

Before you had surgery and even before you left the hospital you should
have been told by either doctor or nutrionist at the hospital what to eat
and expect after. I would contact the doctors office and ask why you were
not rxplained this earlier. Each doctor follows their own agenda as to what
to do!
