Question:
How is a staple line disruption or enlarged stoma diagnosed? What are the symptoms?

I have been steadily gaining weight for the last several months and find that I can eat way more than I should. Can either of these conditions be the problem?    — Michele313 (posted on August 10, 2006)

Some docs do a upper GI,, then follow with endoscopy. Some docs cut straight to the EGD and "see" directly what you've got. Do yu suddenly have heartburn or acid? Do you know if you were transected?

Michele, Hey I am near you... I am in Ormond Beach...I would like to tell you my story, however it would be a mountain of just words to you... I am very humble... I too gained alot of weight back and I will say, the surgery was just a tool and we some times tend to think it is brain surgery... I fought the battle of gaining from 140 back to 198 my second year. I then hod to find a solution to the problem, in which I did. Now I enjoy helping others see that this is not a dead end road, it is about lifestyle and changing an obses mind. I would love to invite you to my support group and or you may email me back and I would like to answer questions. I enjoy the training I have had through my journey...Most importantly, I have won the battle... NOW A FIGURE COMPETITOR... FROM 327 TO 140 TO 198 TO 125 AND NOW MAINTAIN FOR 10 MONTHS NOW 130 POUNDS... SIZE 3 JUNIORS AND VERY LEAN. I do have much respect for the gainers and listne it is not easy having an obese mind...You just need to know how to get beond that and learn to be teachable through personal develpment! I love helping others just like yourself... My hugs go with you and much respect to learn a new tool! Celeste Momin from 327 to 125... Now a figure competitor! If I can change anyone can....

Hi, I too have recently gained about 20 lbs and I am so mad at myself. I'm back in the vicious cycle of depression, weight gain, etc...All of my clothes are tight and I really am miserable. I just can't seem to get my head on straight. I wish he had fixed my head when he fixed my stomach. :( Jane.
