Question:
Is there anyone out there who wishes they had NOT had the surgery?

Sure there are people out there that wish they had not done the surgery. I
find that they thought this was a quick fix problem and WLS is not, it is a
life time issue. You need to research it more to make sure you are doing
this for you and no one else.

not me! I am so grateful for it, I would do it again, anytime! I haven't
experienced some of the side affects some have, so it has been a great
experience. Even my co-workers that have had infections, bowel
obstructions, etc...would do it over again!

I think everyone has had that thought especially the first 4 weeks. I am
5yrs later and still glad I did it...sometimes when something doesn't
settle it reminds me of the side effects and I wish I didn't have the
barfing episodes we can have. I still hurl and thank the good lord for
every other day that I feel great. Angie

I have had regrets at one time or another. It's usually when there is pie,
but I'm pretty grateful for the opportunity to have WLS overall. :D I
personally have never met anyone who regretted the surgery, although I'm
sure there are a few.

Me. If I could turn back time, and could see what the futute held, I would
not have done it. Yes, my blood pressure problems are resolved, and my
metobolic syndrome is gone, but I am living now on strong pain killers and
have to have a revision.

Nearly everyone I have ever met just wish they had done it sooner. Now
sadly there are a very few like mini gadget, that have had problems. One
friend of mine was like that, even ended up on the old Rosie magazine as a
WLS failure. Her hubby joined the military and they moved to lake placid.
Last I heard from her she was doing much better:)

Try the Regrets forum. It's pretty good reading.

I wished I had not done so in the beginning I went through a lot more than
anyone I have met with this surgery due to cancer and other health issues
But now down from 291 to 129 lbs I feel wonderful and dont regret it
anymore... did you have it already or just wishing you hadnt? You will be
ok ... and things will get better as time goes along...

The Weight Loss Surgery i don't regret for one single minute. I am four
weeks out of a lower body lift and inner thigh lift and i am so unhappy.
i've had a lot of complications, and don't see any sort of state of
"normalcy" for AT LEAST four more weeks, and i think that's a
conservative estimate. thank God i have a job that has been MORE than kind
to me about everything. Good luck with whatever your decision is.
