I think it mostly depends on how well you adhere to the "pouch
rules" and doctor recommendations. I am having lap rny 4/14/06 and am
very happy with my decision. Either way, it is a tool and it needs to be
used appropriately. Good luck.

The same loose yes. What the fobi does is to 'prevent' stoma issues (no
stoma function - which will render you pouch useless; or stretching later.
I would seriously consider getting it if offered if you are doing the RNY

I had the RNY with Fobi almost 6 years ago and have maintained all but 10
pounds of my weight loss.
