Nancy, what you are going thru is common. I am 10 months out and am still
hardly ever get hungry. I struggle with the food grazing also, sometimes I
succeed in making sure that I eat a protein rich snack or meal at night. I
just read in WLS Lifestyles magazine that when you crave a food say like
you with chips or crackers you really are probably not hungry, it is just
that a craving and we have to learn to turn that craving off. I find it
really hard as I am sure others do also. Good luck.

Hi Nancy, Wow!! what a great job you have done with your weight loss, you
have to feel so proud of yourself. I have been out from the surgery for 29
months Oct 15, 2001 and fight the fight daily for wanting carbs, love the
chips, breads, your name it , anything with carbs in it, and I just can't
have them at my disposable. I refuse to grow out of my new wardrobe, and
will go up maybe a few pounds, but get right back on the old protein etc.
You have come too far to give in to this, I just try to remember from
whence I came from. Just crossing my legs this morning, and not having my
tummy in my lap it all the encourgement I need, then to get dressed in
jeans and little shirts that don't have to cover my tummy makes this all
worth while besides all the wonderful health benifits. Never lose sight of
how far you have come, just think back to those former days when you felt
so bad, and hated to get dressed, and maybe had rashes etc, that will keep
you going, God bless you in your journey, because it is truly one day at a
time, Love Suzie Oct 15, 01 278/140's size 8 jeans, s tops, yes!!!! Keep
posting we are all in this together

I'm very much like you. I'm a big carb eater. I decided I can't have it
in my house. For example Akins Crunchers. Love them. If I kept them in
my house I would eat them all. I leave them in my car trunk. I limit
myself to only a few per day if at all. I keep no bread pasta, crackers,
etc in my house.
I do not allow myself to eat after 9:00 pm except of liquids like decaf
coffee with skim milk or cholo SF Soy Milk. Again, only because I have a
hard time with control.
Do what you need to do. Good Luck.
