Question:
I am in Louisiana and having to pay out of pocket. Has anyone used any MD in North
or Central La. that has done surgery with BMI of 50 or greater that was a excellent surgeon. One surgeon is 22,000 and other under 15,000 but dont seem as experienced with the larger patient. — sweeteelme (posted on April 5, 2012)

I am a physician in Nashville, and i flew to New Orleans to have Tom Lavin
do my surgery. This is such an important choice, that I researched
carefully. I had l a p band. 1 revision for occlusion, and emergency
removal at 1 and 1/2 years. I had a massive hernia and am so grateful for
how well i am now. I am 6 days p post op and home since Monday....no
problems other than anticipated fatigue.....the best part 0 hunger:-)
worth the travel for sure

If your self pay. You should consider Mexico. There are many good weight
loss surgeons. There are thousands of people go there every year.
