United heathcare cover Tummy tuck

Anyone having United Heathcare Ins has ever been approved for Tummy Tuck with Hernia repair, Breast reduction, breast lift, Thigh lift with lipo. Im willing be pay for my breat implants unless they cover that also.    — sheila135 (posted on September 11, 2011)

The only thing that they may cover with extensive documentation is a tummy tuck. The consider the rest to be "Cosmetic". The tummy tuck situation is because of issue with the flap of skin, having open sores, rashes, est. But you have to have tried and failed different treatment. Also your weight has to be stable for 18 months. I was a Medical Authorization Specialist for 10 years. Most of the HMO's out there follow what ever Medicare recommends for there patients.
