Question:
Vertigo?
Is anyone dealing with vertigo as a post-op problem of WLS? — Pilar12 (posted on April 3, 2010)

I have had some problems with this. Are you getting in your fluids? If
your dehydrated this can happen. Most of mine was from blood sugar levels
spiking and then dropping. If I didn't eat on time and then about 45
minutes after I ate I would get dizzy. My surgeon told me to eat snacks.
I always have a fiber bar or almonds with me to help prevent this. Make
sure you are drinking constantly though and ask your doctor about this.
There are many things it can be from lack of certain vitamins to the ones I
already mentioned. Toni

my doctor said my potassium level was low & now I take it daily. Seems
to have cleard it up for the most part. Might have your blood work done.
Best of luck finding an answer.

I had severe vertigo post op, within the the first week though, eventually
it went away. If you are further post-op it could be from dehydration or
vitamin deficiencies. Definitely have it checked!
