Katie, didn't your Dr give you a list of vitamins you should be taking? My
Dr gave me a booklet with everything I need to take. I would feel at ease
telling you what you need to take, just in case you should be taking
something different your Dr wants you to take.
If you do not get answers please send me a note through my profile and I
will be more than happy to tell you what I TAKE.
You must take vitamins, it it imperative.

Katie I agree with Shelly. Remember you are supplementing so it depends
what you are to take depends on what you are lacking. Please consult your
doctor and nutritionist.

You don't say what type of surgery you had. The supplements are different
according to surgery type and changes can be made as your labs are done if
you become deficient in anything.

Different doctors recommend different things. I take two multi-vitams with
minerals (like Centrum); 1000mcg of B12 sublingual (it must be sublingual
or it won't be aborbed due to the surgery); 1000 mg of calcium citrate two
times a day (it has to be calcium citrate, calcium carbonate isn't well
absorbed). If you are still having your period, you need to take iron, It
has to be taken at a time you are not taking other vitamins or calcium. It
is absorbed better if you take it with vitamin C. I think that is 325 mg
of iron. Andrea know a lot about vitamins. You can look at her page at
