Congrats. I Just had the sleeve done on Friday the 15th. I am 6 days post
op and have lost 13lbs so far. Not sure what the norm is for either, but I
have promised myself not to get to centerd on the amountI loose. For me I
have had a hard time adjusting to the tiny bit that I have to drink. I do
mean Have to. So my loss may not be the norm.

It depends on you, everyone is different.. I had the sleeve done July 22,
08 and I think I lost rather quickly, I was down 100 pounds within 13
months, i am now 18 months out and at my goal and have lost 122 pounds. I
feel great and I am sure you will too, best of luck and God Bless.

I had a VSG done in June of 08, and have lost 174#, but the weight loss has
slowed. My advice to you is to follow your nuts advice. Do not eat anymore
than they tell you to eat. I was supposed to eat 1/2 cup at a time, but I
increased that to 1 cup serving, which I am sure slowed the weight loss. I
regret that! I feel great, and can walk again, but I wonder how much more
weight I would have lost if only I had followed directions. Your weight
loss will slow down after a time, so you will have to work at losing more.
May God Bless You Abundantly!

I had the VSG done in The Dominican Republic on June 17,2009. I have lost
124 lbs thus far. It has started to slow and there were times that I wasn't
seeing puonds come off but the Dr assured me inches were coming off. Your
body needs time to adjust to the dramatic weight loss. Then like in a week
I'd lose several pounds. He said it was like my body was playing catch-up.
Best of luck just follow the directions for sure!!! =)

I had VSG 3/25/09 and I lost 80 lbs in the first 6 months and then things
slowed down. I wasn't working out as much as I should and I have been
eating more that I should too. It is still a discipline issue. I'm working
on it and I have lost another 10 and kinda bounce back an forth. I really
hope to be down a total of 100 by my 1 year point and am going to work
towards that. The weight came off quickly when I was working out and
watching what I was eating. But you do have slow downs and accelerated
times as others posted. I hope you have great success.

I think it all depends on you, I was considered a "lightweight"
and had lap RNY, and yes I have lost a bit slower than most as far as the
scales go, but I also measure and have lost 33 inches total and 6 sizes in
jeans, so you really have to look at all those not just the scales as that
can be deceiving! I feel terrific though
