DOES MEDICARE COVER A TUMMY TUCK?

From what I've heard, a tummy tuck is considered cosmetic surgery and Medicare will not cover it. OTOH, I've also heard that if it is medically necessary, your surgeon may be able to help you get an exception.

I called Medicare to ask and Sharon is right. It has to be medically necessary.

Hi I am at this stage right now I have medicare I have been trying to have a breast reduction and they denie this also I got a hold of medicare rights center and medicare can not denie any surgery that is medicially necessary so it has to be, what about skin problems, smell, rash, needs to be all documented if u want more info email me thanks Tammi
