Yes this is a great book. Lots and lots of VERY useful information. It
gives tons of info about all of the weight loss surgeries. I ordered mine
from Amazon.com and also got a few after WLS cookbooks from that website.
I got lap band and my cousin got Gastric and we both found this book very
helpful.

Its a good one. Explains the whole process. I'd also recommend The weight
Loss Surgery Connection.

Excellent reference book. I got it before my surgery and still refer to it
once in awhile. Recipes too.

I got a copy a couple of weeks before my surgery and read it cover to
cover. It's awesome, it answered some questions I didn't even know I had,
and I've asked our library to get a copy.

Great book! I'm having my RNY surgery 2/23/09 and it is going to the hosp.
with me. I found mine at Borders. You can read it cover to cover or skip
around in the book for reference as thing come to mind that you want to
look up.

Definitely a great reference tool. I got mine a few months before my
surgery and 1-1/2 yrs later I still refer to it occassionally!

I am having Lap-AGB on the 3rd of March, and just finished reading this
book. I highly recommend it, for you and your support person. My husband
and I would discuss what I was reading every night.

Hi Eve,
I can recommend the Weightloss Surgery for Dummies book 100%. I got my
copy through walmart online and paid alot less than at a regular bookstore.
There was so much information in it and I was just at the beginning
processes of weight loss surgery 2 years ago when I bought it. I think it
is a valuable resource with an answer to almost any question you would want
an answer to and lots and lots of information. Hope this helps. Bobbi Jo

Definitely helpful!! Also A Complete Guide to Obesity Surgery by Bryan G.
Woodward is another good read pre- and post-op.

I have it. It's a good book. I would recommend it to most pre-ops. I wish I
would've bought pre surgery, since two years later it pretty much tells me
everything I already know(either learned from online research or personal
experience). Actually, mine is in "brand new" condition and
collecting dust, I think I'd be willing to give it to someone if they
wanted it...I don't really need it anymore. Message me if you're
interested.
