Robert sounds like low blood sugar to me. Be careful!! Eat something and
drink some orange juice. That should help you. Best of Luck,
Mickey...........

THAT HAPPENS TO ME, IT IS LOW BLOOD SUGAR WITH ME. BUT IT COULD ALSO BE
SOMETHING ELSE WITH YOU. YOU ARE PROBABLY EATING TOO MANY STARCHY
CARBOHYDRATES THAT ARE CONVERTED INTO SUGARS. I HAVE TO EAT SOMETHING
QUICK BECAUSE I GET IT TO THE POINT OF SHAKING, HOT SWEATS AND ALMOST
FEELING LIKE IM GOING TO PASS OUT. PLEASE TELL YOU DOC ABOUT THIS, IT
COULD GET SERIOUS, BUT IS MANAGABLE. GOOD LUCK

Coluld this be a new form of dumping syndrome? You don't have to have
diarhhea, after all. Have you dumped before? Have you been checking what
you have eaten prior to these episodes? How's your intake of protein and
water? Could you be dehydrated? If so, you should see your doctor
immediately.

I get that too if I skip eating altogether. It eels horrible and doc said
it was low blood sugar. Uts best to eat some protein when it occurs. Eating
sugar a quick fix an lead to it happening again. Michelle Curran reports
its very common for long term post ops. Its always good to run it by your
doctor, for safety.

Hi Robert, thanks for writing. I hope you have already scheduled an appt
with your doctor, you need to get checked out. That is not normal at all,
and no matter what it is, you need to get it looked into. Shanking lasting
40 minutes is not good at all. Please get a check up. It may or may not
have anything to do with your wls surgery in itself, but it could be from
massive weight loss like you have had. Congrats by the way! Take care,
and let us know how things work out. Patricia P.

Yup, seems like we're not the only ones who experience this. I had WLS in
Jan 03 and it still happens to me. I too think it is a drop in blood
sugar. For me, it happens in two situations: after eating something that
I probably should not have eaten (high carbs, fat etc that blows normal
blood sugar levels out of wack) and after a long period of time between
meals/snacks (3-4 hrs since last meal). In both situations, eating
something seems to help it pass more quickly. (Peanut butter crackers, a
banana, trail mix, cheese & crackers or some dry cereal seem to work
best for me.) Sometimes the shaking & sweating is accompanied by
severe lethargy and making it stop as quickly as possible is most important
for me, especially when it happens at work or during other social
activities. It sucks but is usually resolved within 10-15 mins if I act
quickly and grab something right away. My best advice is to pay attention
to the very beginning signs (slight shaking or empty feeling) and be
proactive ~ grab a snack!

Check your blood sugars! It sounds as though you are having a low blood
sugar episode. Eat something!
