Lapbanders lose more slowly that RNYers. I lost 8.5 lbs the first week
after RNY. I also have no appetite or cravings so I don't feel hunger.
Are you walking and getting all your fluids in? Def. talk to the doctor
about your progress, see what he says.

I had lap band 6 days ago, i've lost 10 pounds already. My stomach growls
too! What's up with that! My pouch does get full but I'm constantly
thinking about food! I wonder if I should move out for awhile because my
family cooks pizza, tacos, mexican food etc! It's driving me crazy!

I had my surgery on 2-13-07 and you normally don't get a fill till you are
at least 6 weeks post op. I go in for my first fill this wed. They say
that loosing 2-3 lbs a week is good for a lapband. I am 6 weeks post op
and have lost 35lbs so far but 22lbs of it was lost in a week prior to
surgery because of water weight. So make sure that you are drinking plenty
of water that was the only thing that really cut down on my stomach growls.
Don't forget it your stomach growling doesn't always mean your hungry it
can mean that you are thirsty. Make sure to get all your proteins in and
if you are having trouble with that you will have to get shakes and other
protein supplements. Good luck.

I was glad to see your question. I had lap band surgery on 3/23/7 and I
feel like I'm not succeeding because I'm starving. I think about food and
wonder if it would hurt to take a bite of my kids' dinner. Any tips or
suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi,
I had my lapband last thursday, I too am starving. I feel fine, but not
even half full, Last night I had a piece of toast, I ate slowly and I had
no
problem with it, I even emailed my nutritionist to ask her if I could
introduce even a little soft food, ie: soft scrambled egg,
I did,t think I,d be hungery after the surgery.
Any thoughts?
