It depends on your clinic's point of view. My doc wanted us to eat no more
than 2 oz per meal (5-6 meals) UNTIL GOAL WT! The object being to keep
that small pouch small (original condition, so to speak) and use it as long
as you can before increasing portions and decreasing frequency. Of course,
we also do protein supplements, so that helps keep that voume down.

Shannon, how many times have you heard this: Everyone is different!
Everyone has their own way of adjusting after this type of surgery. Listen
to your body and make good choices in what you put into your body. Obesity
is a head issue with a body consequence. Fight the head issues and the
body consequence will come along. Eat like you are supposed to, not like
you want to. Know that head hunger will be with you and you need to battle
it every day. Drink warm tea, eat slowly and the right stuff, drink water,
exercise. It really doesn't matter how much if you are staying in the
guidelines of protein, water, veggies. You will be full. Don't look for
ways to get around the issues, but take them head on, and be determined to
do right. You can do it, and it will help you. I am almost 3 years out
and have kept off 120 pounds and am doing great, but it is the same old
story, diet, exercise and water. I have treats, I have
"specials", but I know my body and how it is acting and reacting,
so I know where to go with my body and where not to go. It takes time to
learn those things, and they don't come normal, or we wouldn't have been
obese! You are unique, listen to your doctor, and do those things you are
supposed to, protein, water, veggies, and fight those head hunger issues,
it takes work! But, you are up to it, or you wouldn't have had surgery!
You can do it girl! Take care, Patty P

Hi Shannon,Ive read all the other comments and the only thing i havent read
is the thoughts on when you are eatting do not drink anything! It is very
important that you do not drink anything a half hour before you eat until
an hour after you eat so you dont wash away the food you will stay full
longer that was one of the main things the Dr insisted on when I started
this you need lots of water and protein all day long but while you eat only
take a very small sip if you need it and chew your food very slowly about
30 chews per bite take about ten minutes per ounce to eat this is according
to my dr i lost 80 pounds when i had my surgery over three years ago Cindy
