I cannot say what the pain is coming from. For me that is usually some
sort of dumping (even though I have not dumped in the
"traditional" sense of the word) but that pain you describe
usually tells me I ate something that my tummy did not want there.
As for getting back on track to lose weight, I would just pretend that you
had the surgery yesterday and start up drinking only the protein and forego
anything else. Give yourself a 24-hour drill (it will take about 24 hours
for your pouch to get back the "window of opportunity" and you
can once again start to lose). The nice thing about this surgery is that
you can always take charge of the situation (unlike diets where you usually
gain it back because it is impossible to get a handle on things). When I
see that I gain a few pounds, I start anew and within 2 days I don't even
want to look at the "bad stuff". I wish you good luck. Missy

Angela, you need to contact your doctor about this. There are several
things that could cause it, and if it is a bowel obstruction then it can be
very serious. I would see the doc asap.
