Question:
Anyone had this done in Wisconsin?

I am from Green Bay and had a consultation at the Bariatric Treatment Center two weeks ago in Belvidere, Illinois. It is right by Rockford, Illinois. About an hour from Madison. They were very nice there and after skimming the website here, it seems that a lot of people have gone there. Look under the biographies from the people from Wisconsin. Good luck to you. I am awaiting insurance approval.

Search on "bariatric surgeons", and you'll end up "near" the "american society of bariatric surgeons". Board certified physicians are listed there by state. I think Wis has 7 or 8, with 5 being in the Milwaukee area. (There's 1 or 2 in Madison, then somewhere in the Fox Valley.)Check out the site for a definitive answer. My regular doc, in Sussex, is on the board of the Amer Society of Bariatric Physicians. He recommended Bill Schulte out of Milw/Froedtert. I scheduled for RNY with him there on 10/26. BTW, my insurance is with HCN (outa GB), and I got covered without a hassle.
