Question:
adhesions-scar tissue
First i want to thank all of you who responed to my question of stomach cancer. went for endoscopy and colonoscopy Dr. said test were neg bur felt all the pain in my abdomen was caused from adhesions also know as scar tissue from the RNY. Just wondering has anyone else experienced this. Been 5 and one half yrs since my surg. So much pain it's hard to believe that's what causing it. Again thanks to all of you. — worrier (posted on September 22, 2011)

I have either a slippery hernia, it comes and goes- unless it becomes
permanent they won't touch it. Or it is adhesions that catch on the
intestine. Never shows up on ct scan so they don't really know which. Of
course they never have scanned when the pain was active.
My biggest concern regarding going in to check it out is that if it is
adhesions, removing them may cause more scar tissue to form later. Since
mine isn't constant, I want to hold off and my surgeon is good with that.
