Question:
Not Losing Much First Week
I was weight on day 5 post op. I only lost 1 lb from my pre surgery hospital weight. Anyone else have that? — pcannedy (posted on September 15, 2010)

Hi... You gain in the hospital after surgery so you've really lost more
than you realize! Don't worry it will come off you need to focus on
getting in enough liquids at this point so you don't have to deal with
dehydration! Good Luck with your journey... I'm 9 mos out, down 83lbs, at
goal! Debbie

Try not to worry....it will come off!!!! It didn't happen to me, but I
have heard it from several others. Good luck on your wt. loss journey.

My Doctor said the goal for the first 4 weeks isn't necessarily to loose
weight, but to give your body time to heal. Just follow the docs orders and
the following month you'll see that scale start going down again! I'm 6
months post op and to date I have lost 87 lbs! I feel 10 years younger, and
you will too! Good luck and God Bless!

When I first had my surgery, I had to stop weighing daily, it made me nuts
in the head. I think I lost 14 lbs the first two weeks and then it came
off fast. Listen to your NUT and Dr on what they tell you to eat. I
walked as soon as I got out of surgery too.
