Decaf and herbal teas are fine. Best success!

Yes they are fine - I would stay away from caffeine, even though it is pre
surgery because you can't have it after. I drink the celestial seasonings
tea. My favorite is Country Peach Passion. The great thing about
Celestial seasonings is they have tons of flavors and most of them you can
get in a variety pack so you don't buy a whole pack of something you wont
like. Good luck!

Some people have a hard time post op with "hot" liquids. It can
cause a little discomfort to the pouch. But it isn't bad to drink them.
As long as you sip, sip, sip, or gulp them down to fast post op, you will
do fine. You are required to drink caffeine free tea, etc.

I am two weeks Lap Band post op. I have been drinking a variety of hot
teas, mostly decaf, since it got cold here! I love the Bigelo mint and
Celestial Seasonings peppermint. I don't even put any sweetener in them
and they count toward my daily liquid intake of 48-64 oz. of fluid/day and
they really help warm me up without adding calories!
