Question:
Has anyone with a big hernia had laprocopic lapband?

I have had hernias and surgeries numerous times, am nervous about surgery and preop liquid diet for 14 days, my surgery is Aug. 21.    — Barcalow (posted on August 4, 2009)

I had a large incisional hernia from my c-section when I had laproscopic RNY surgery. No problems whatsoever. Not sure if this will answer your question...

I was being treated for a huge hiatal hernia. My Dr. said it was the size of a fist. My surgeon removed it what the Lapband was applied. I have had no recurrance, I'm continuing to lose weight (96# in 9 months).

I also have a HUGE hernia from a c-section when I had twins. In fact I'm a year out from my lapband and I still have it. Waiting to have it fix when I do a panny...have 40 lbs left to lose before insurance will cover. :(

I had lap band surgery 5-20-09 I had a hiatal hernia he did both surgeries at the same time.
