Question:
three days out

I'm three days out from open rny and it feels like I have harsh and hideous heart burn. Anyone have experince with that?    — origamistar (posted on March 14, 2009)

Hi Vannessa.... When I had rny surgery....my surgeon prescribed prevacid 30mg. solutab.....call your doctor and ask for this...it will help tremendously....hang in there... it gets way better....your wls friend....Linda Arnold

I had wicked evil heartburn pre op and a lot of damage to my throat...Doc had me on prevacid as well for a good month or so after surgery...I just opened the capsules and chomped a few times and swallowed the little tiny white balls right down...Instant relief! Doesn't taste too good though! But prevacid was the ONLY thing that brought me relief...I haven't had heart burn in years since the day before surgery and maybe a week or so of the healing after...Every once in a while I get an acidy feeling but deeper (not in my throat) and the prevacid helps with that as well.

I too was on prevacid but for 3 months after surgery and now I can take prilosec OTC for my acid reflux. Good Luck it does really help alot.
