I went from 326 to 270 and never lost more than that. I had the open RNY
gastric bypass surgery in 2001 with Dr. Bolar.

I am 7 months out from RNY, started at 275 lbs (I am 5'8") and now
weigh 191 (84 lb loss). It has come off a little slower this month but I
am still happy with the results!

Hi, I had RNY on June 12th. Before I had surgery I was 254. Since surgery I
have lost 57lbs., a total of 69lbs which my current weight is 185. I also
think I'm losing slow but I am glad I'm still losing. Hang in there you'll
do fine all people are different and in this surgery there are alot of
stalls. They say it takes about 1 year until you reach goal. HUGS, ALICE

TONS of inches. Went from a 30/32 to an 18.

Constance, Please remember that each person is individual with their weight
loss. Some people have more to lose and they will usually lose more at the
beginning than someone who has less to lose! If you exercise you will
usually lose more. I am 13 months out and have lost 117#'s but I also need
to lose 26 more to reach my goal. You have to consider how much did they
weigh, their height and how much they need to lose. Every surgeron has
different goals for their patients. My goal is 160#'s, I am 5'4 and will
then have a tummy tuck asn should finish out at about 150#'s. Good luck!

I've lost 93 pounds in eight months and gone from size 26-28 to regular
size 16. Losing a pound or two a week. Everyone is different. Just keep on
working on it every day.

Lost 150# in 6 months now at 8 months total loss of 174#. with RNY.
Everyone definitely loses at their individual rate but it will depend on a
persons committment to following their program and realizing that the
surgery is only a tool and you still need to work at getting healthy.

I am a little more than 3 months out and have lost 83lbs. My doctor says
average for women that he has done is 20lbs per month but again it is all
different for every person.
After going so long not losing it is just nice to see the pounds going down
on the scale instead of up.
Good luck, Jackie
