Question:
excess neck skin
What can you do for a turkey wrinkled neck? I have lost 77 pounds and still have 100 more to go and my neck looks gross. It actually looked much better fat? What can I do to help this? — rosheet (posted on May 5, 2008)

Wait 18 months after surgery to look at surgery as a solution. I was
worried as I started to loose as I am 62. My fitness trainer had me do a
lot of neck excersize that actually sharnk the skin around my neck, My doc
was so impressed he wanted to come and see what those were when I did my
next session. I told him he could come and see, but he had to pay my
trainer for that session. He did, and said he still could not see how I
was tighting the skin on my neck and stomach, but had to admit it was hard
work. My legs are no cooperating the same, and my upper arms have a
simular problem, but 18 months is what you need to wait for a sergical
solution. I use skin tighting creams even night. I love having my wife
rubbing them into me. She like contributing where she can, but tell me
don't worry about the skin because I am going to be with her for many more
years thanks to the tool I got from RNY WLS.
Best of success to you.

I got lucky in that much of my skin went back into place fairly nicely with
no plastic surgery...But my neck really bugs me! I think it comes with age
too as I am going to be 44 this summer...but I cannot seem to hide it or
get rid of it. If I have any plastics at all... it will be my neck first!!
LOL Skin firming lotions really do help...but in the end age still catches
up with all of us! :(

I agree with the other posts that it is much too soon to be concerned about
your neck. I think that if you start moisterizing your neck being careful
to go always in an upward motion towards your hairline, by using coconut
oil you could see improvement. Additionally, if you commence working with
a personal trainer, he or she could design specific exercise routines which
should help you as well.

I use Avon's Thermafirm Cream. It works really well. I put it on 3 times a
day and it puts the elasticity and spring back into your skin and also
firms the skin up. Let me know if your interested. I can send you out a
sample to try.
