Question:
Can't seem to break the plateau
I'm a year and nine months out and lost 105 lbs so far, and want to to lose another 33lbs. My starting weight was 318 and now 213. I've tried everything, different and longer exercise, change eating habits, went back to basics, increased water intake. I don't know whats going on and it hard to contact my nutritionist — glennk (posted on February 10, 2008)

Hello how many calories, fat, carbs, protein, and fluids are you consuming
in a day? First off that will help me. Consuming under 1000 will help
you. 25 Fats, 70 Protein, 100 Carbs, 64 ounces of water. Do not graze
during the day. Eat breakfast, drink fluids 1 1/2 after, then a small
snack if need too, lunch, 1 1/2 hours after drink more, snack later if need
too, healthy dinner, and again 1 1/2 hour after fluids. Late snack if need
too. Your body also may be happy where it is and you are not capable of
losing that due to muscle, bone structure ect....I am sure if you do not
stress and work on what I said it will come to you. Let me know and I will
help more I am working with a nutritionist right now and I have 13 pounds
left to be 185. I was 398 pounds almost three years ago.

I do not have a scientific answer for you but I find that when I hit a
platueau it helps to shake up my eating habits for a week or so. Alter the
habits you may have developed and increase or decrease your protien intake
for a few days. then go back to your regime. It has helped me so far. 165
lbs in 22 months after RNY.
