Question:
Gastric Bypass can be done if you have antritis?

I just had the endoscopy and they found out that I have Antritis. I hope that will not make my surgery to be cancelled. Does any one had that situation?    — reborning (posted on October 15, 2007)

Usually, they will put you on antibiotics to clear it up before surgery. Good luck!

I'm guessing that would have to be treated before surgery could be done. Do they know what caused it, and are you being treated? Was your surgeon the one who ordered the endoscopy? And how soon is your surgery? I would suggest contacting your surgeon ASAP to discuss this so the surgery can be safely done.

as long as your bmi is over 36 you qualify but you can complain to your dr. that the weight on yur nbody is hurting your moore . most likely you qualify if the wieght is causing health promlems. i had no health promblem when i got the gastro bye pass. i just had promblems loosing weight, at on point i was going to a diet dr, whoo specialize in weight loss. i was taking diet pills , i would gain weight loose weight back in forth. so i got tire od that went to y dr, who perform my sirgery and ppresent 5 yrs of my medical record for the weight loss , it with out a doubt my insurance aprove me instantly
