Each surgeon is different as far as post op, however most do the liquid
diet for a couple weeks, then pureed food then meat, fruit and vegetables
etc...It is different with each surgeon on the time frame of each
progression. Just follow your surgeon's/nutritionists advice and you'll be
fine. Good luck!

The first two weeks all I could eat was protein shakes, water, sugar free
popsicles or sugar free jello. Anything that was liquid.

Every surgeon is different, but this was my plan.
2weeks post-op- Protein shakes, broth, sf popsicles, lowfat cream soups.
2-4wks post-op- soft foods, egg beaters, ricotta cheese , lowfat yogurts,
and ricotta cheese.
4-6 weeks post op- protein. chicken & turkey(could be ground), fish,
tuna, scallops, shrimp, eggs, tofu. Be very careful when you start eating
solids, be sure you chew your food to applesauce consistency!!!! Food
really hurts when it gets stuck!!!!
6 weeks- start adding lowfat choices and fruits, veggies and starch. This
will take alot of trial and error to find out what agrees with your
pouch!!!!
