Personally, I never had to take any, but I know many women (who I have
supported) and they have. Also our surgeon OK'ed them. Every surgeon is
different.....if it's the weekend and you can't get ahold of someone from
your surgeon's office, then call your pharmacy and take to the pharmacist,
explain what you had done, etc. and he can probably help.

Sandy,
You might want to ask him to prescribe you the Prevacid Soluable tablets.
My surgeon prescribed them for all his patients after surgery and I take
one every morning I get up. You don't chew it, it dissolves in your mouth.
For any other pain, purchase Tylenol liquid. You should not be taking any
kind of pills right now --such as Ibuprof or any pills that have to go
through your digestive system.

I know I am posting a litle late, but first I would definitely get a hold
of your doc and check with him/her. But I have had great success with
Gas-X, I buy the chewable mint ones.. I know you just had surgery so the
strips might be best at this time. But I am 17 months out and still use
them from time to time for relief.. Good luck!!
