Question:
Has anyone experience your back being score after surgery
I had surgery two weeks ago. A day after surgery I notice my back was real score like my side of my stomach. My docotor said it was due to surgery. I was wondering if anybody else back was real score and last as long as two weeks. — barfiep01 (posted on January 30, 2007)

I had terrible body aches beginning the day after surgery, I think it was
due to the anesthesia. It only lasted for 2 days and then I felt great!

I had the same prob and it was due to the table we lay on during surgery
and then sittin in the hospital bed. Mine only lasted about a week after
surgery.

I had lots of back pain for about the first week after! So much that I
couldn't get comfortable to sleep. I even tried sitting up to sleep. I was
exhausted yet everything hurt my back. It does go away thank God..it just
takes alittle bit

I am also two weeks out and ,am still having the same type of pain. The
doctor says it's normal and will go away at some point. I have been taking
Tylenol during the day and use a heating pad at night. Please let me know
if you find a quick fix to help relief the pain..

I had the back pain you are discribing too. Are you walking? That is what
worked for me. I had my surgery 1/22 and have walked five miles at the
mall since surgery. My doctor had me up walking often at the hospital and I
haven't set very still since I got home. I went back to my four hour part
time job on Monday of this week. I know mine was gas pains from the
surgery and I could feel the relief from walking. I hope this helps.

I ended up getting a hand held massager.. cost 9 bucks at walgreens.. runs
off of 3 aaa batteries.. it massaged the air bubbles .. reminances from the
surgery.. they pump you full of co2 when you do surgery.. so that they can
get in there.. and when they vacume it out.. they miss some.. but if you
massage it out and burp as much as possible it fixes within a small amount
of time.. also a heat pad to sleep on at night helps. I am one week out and
before I left the hospital.. they kicked me out cause I was doing so well
two days after surgery.. I had gotten out all the bubbles and the doctors
wanted to order some of the hand held massagers for the hospital... hope
that helps

I had the worse back pain for about a week. The heating pad helped a lot.
Also my husband massaged it every day. It does get better, hang in there.

Sorry, totally forgot about something...until I read one of the posts..I
have a massager chair..for the computer..That helped soo much. Not that I
reccommend going out and buying one..but it sure made a difference.
