Question:
Nausea Popsicles - anyone know the name?
I read on this website somewhere that there are popsicles that you can buy that specifically help with nausea. I'm 20 days Post Op and everything was going along just fine when 4 days ago I became nauseous and haven't been able to shake it. As each day passes, I eat and drink less and less. I saw about a month ago someone posted about these popsicles and how they really worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! — Tiece (posted on December 5, 2005)

Tracey,
you might be talking about Queasey pops....I thought they were popcycles
too..but there are lollipops...suckers
some cancer patients swear by them...others just prefer mint or chamamile
tea
hope this helps

Actually go the baby & children's food's it's located where pedialyte
is. It's actually pedialyte Pops. I use them with my kids I'd try also
juice pops if allowed they have diabetic ones in the freeze section best
ones I've found made by Blue Bunny! I haven't had the surgury yet, but I
use those with my kids and myself since I'm diabetic. Great Taste. I'm
hoping to have my surgury in the very near future

I have found that the brand POPSICLE is the best!! They are ALWAYS in my
freezer and I have one 1)for nausea and 2)when my body wants something
sweet.

I had the same problem at about the same time you did. The doctor gave me
Zofran to take 15min before every meal. It took nausea and vomiting away.
The whole nausea feeling should go away after a couple of months. I am
about 2 yrs PO and I still still get nausea or the feeling to vomit for no
reason. But as quick as the feeling comes, it go's away just as quick. I
think it's all the bad stuff that I eat.

nausea! good luck!

Tracy- please follow up with your Dr. It is really important you do not get
dehydrated and go into deep ketosis. That happened to me 2 times and I
ended up in the hospital. I also had to be put on Zofran and sometimes
phenegran (only at night) . I also saw a specialist that found out I was
reacting to birth control and therfore can not take it at all. Nearly
killed me. I found sipping on Fruit 2o and watered down gatorade helped. I
still get sick to my stomach off and on but have stabilized well.

Hi Tracy, I had read about the quesy pops before but have not tried them.
I just wanted to mention to you that about the same time frame that you
are, I had a problem with lactose intolerance & when that went away I
discovered that some things with aspartame in it made me nauseous. If you
are using products that have milk or nutrasweet, this could be the cause.
Hope you feel better soon.

I found myself queasy when eating certain foods or when I ate too much or
if I drank too close to eating. I still cannot eat within and hour of
drinking or drink within an hour of eating, and I am a year out! I also
still cannot eat certainfoods without getting ill (like chicken).
