You are lucky! For some reason, it took me almost a month to start losing
weight!! And I was following my plan exactly. I think it may've been all
the air they pumped into me. I couldnt barely move for DAYS! I am 5 yrs
out. I've lost 246lbs!!! It's hard work, but well worth it. Good luck!
Also, when you hit that plateau, go back to the basics..Protein drinks and
plenty of water, and NO CHEATING!!!

I so misread your post! I thought I read you LOST 10! My answer is still
the same. I didn't hit 50lbs until about 10 weeks out... I was discouraged,
then all of the sudden it flew off...Keep your head up and do everything
you are supposed to do. It will work. Remember, your body is still
recovering - just because you feel better, think about all the internal
healing that needs to happen...

Its ok. The fill you with fluids with the IV. It helps prevent dehydration
as you will not be able to drink much at first.

I was told it is quite common for people to leave the hospital weighing
more than when they went in. Just follow the doctors instructions on
getting the protein and get the water down. I set out four bottles of water
every morning, knowing what I have to consume and get it down.

I had my band surgery on 12/9, and I gained 5 lbs between the time I left
for the hospital and got back home the next day. Don't worry, it will come
off over the next week, cause they pump you with air, and it's from the iv
fluids, etc. I lost that 5 lbs and then some by the 4th post op day.

This is normal. Your body is healing. I wouldn't stress it too much.

I gained 33 lbs post surgery. talk to your doc, mine ended up being a heart
valve issue and not normal as they first thought. keep your eye on the
gain.

Karolee, don't get too hung up on the numbers. I know that's hard to do
since you want to loose weight right away. I didn't even own a scale. I
just did what I was supposed to do and every time I got on the scales at
the doctor's office was loosing double digits in weight. This was more fun
than getting on the scales daily and only seeing 1-2 pound losses.
