Question:
What does surgeon's fee cover?
I know every surgeon is different, but in general does the surgeon's fee cover any post op appointments? If so, how many? — Maggie P. (posted on April 1, 2010)

Well my insurance paid for almost everything, but I think I was out of
pocket for $600.00, which I gladly paid.

In general, doctors tend to charge by the service. I would think this would
be the case for post-op appointments as well. You're speaking of the many
thousand dollar fee charged by the surgeon for the surgery itself? Yes, I
would think that only covered the surgery that day.

My doctor's fee covered at least one post op visit.
