Question:
What did you eat when you was 3 weeks post op from RNY?

When I was three weeks postop I was on my pureed diet. I had the RYN Jan 27/10

Two weeks before surgery I started drinking an all liquid diet. Mostly, Whey protein diet drink and lost 10 lbs before surgery. Have just completed 2 weeks after surgery and have lost 22lbs. Good luck and let me know how u are doing

I am almost 3 weeks post op and still am following the pureed diet. Cream of Wheat, Chicken salad made with Yogurt dressing not mayo, eggs with cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans. All pureed or chewed to a very fine mush. I think I will be able to start soft foods soon which will consist of the same not really ground up. I also have eaten yougurt and sugar free jello with protein powder mixed in. Good Luck!

I was on liquids for 3 weeks, protein shakes, then afterwards I was on pureed foods, but no carbs at all until I lost 75% of my weight. Good luck

At three weeks, I was on pureed foods. The problem was I could not tolerate the consistency. Pureed foods nauseated me. So I extended my full liquid phase adding things like applesauce and re-fried beans. Truthfully I pretty much drank my shakes and ate creamed soups.

I thought creamed soups was a no no....I love cream of mushroom soup..can I have this on the soft foods diet???
