Question:
out of pocket expense planning

I have two insurance coverages, BCBS Regence is the primary, won't cover WLS but secondary is BCBS AlaskaCare, Premera, does. Can anyone answer what an average out of pocket expense for similar insurance coverage might be like?    — bcruiser2003 (posted on May 8, 2009)

I had my surgery in March of this year, while covered by Cigna, and my out-of-pocket expense was $2000 for in-network providers. Now, I have Wellpointe BCBS and I think I'll have another out-of-pocket expense of $2000 to meet with them (when I deal with such things as strictures) or non-WLS treatments.
