add water to the bullet to thin out or add ice and let it melt down and
thin out that way. I would drink (shoot) 1 oz. of the bullet at a time. I
would shoot the 1oz. of the bullet stuff then chase it with yogurt or a
smoothie or a graham cracker. Helped me.

I also have the bullets. I'm 1 wk 2 days out. I found the best way for me
is to use an 8 0z water bottle. Pour the amount of the bullet in 1st, add a
little crushed ice, and full the rest with watered down Christal Light. Put
the top on and shake it up, then drink. I have the fruit punch bullet and I
use the strawberry kiwi Chrystal Light. By using the bottle it does not
smell as bad to me. Good luck! I hope it works.

I make it a habit to mix my vanilla and chocolate protein together to make
25 grams with about an once of water. I get it smooth and then stir it
into my coffee. I can't tell that I am drinking protein. It tastes like a
coffee mocha.

Iso-Pure protein drinks (especially the Grape Frost) are clear liquid with
a water-like consistancy. It tastes good, and has 40 grams of protein.
You can get it at the Vitamin Shoppe or online.

Okay, I'm going to sound like a complete goober. I'm 9 years out and I have
no idea what a bullet is. I got a reminder on my WLS
anniversary last month, so signed up to get the questions. I've been out
of the loop for over eight years, but I never had any problems getting my
protein.
Immediately post-op I ate lots of yogurt, egg drop soup, cream soups,
SmoothieKing smoothies, made "skinny" (no turbinado), with added
protein and fiber, Malt-o-meal, and V-8. At two weeks I gingerly added
beef jerky and refried beans with melted cheese, from the local
drive-thru.
I tolerated all of these things very well, and never lost any hair.
I still have my weight off 9 years post-op. As soon as I can figure out
how to lower the resolution on the pictures I have I'll post a new one.
Good luck! - Juliana

I hated it too! Isopure No carb Bottles were the ONLY protein supp that
didn't totally gag me... Comes in glass bottles...I would sip on one drink
a day for 40 g's of protein per bottle. I also ate 3 meals of food with
meat, beans eggs or cheese...But 3 months I was able to eat all my protein
with no more supplements...If you try a bottle...make sure it's the NO CARB
ones! They have several flavors...I like the Alpine Punch ...I think
there's an orange, apple, grape and a blue one which I didn't like so I
don't remember the flavor...It's a really great quality whey protien
isolate...so even lactose intolerant as I am...I could drink it with no
problems...It's a bit pricy....but for a few months it was worth it to get
in good quality protein for healing!

Shelly,
I had the same problem. Still do. It took me 2 1/2 months to find
something that I can handle. It is on the www.bariatricchoice.com website.
It is put out by protidiet. It comes in little pouches in the flavors of
grape, tropical fruit, orange, kiwi-mellon, peach, green tea. I like the
grape, tropical fruit and the orange is ok. You put it in about 5 oz of
water and drink it. It is not thick or gritty or sweet.

Unflavored Unjury saved me. I mixed it in milk in the beginning ...now I
mix it into nestles falvored water. The sugar substitute was killing me
prior to finding unjury. Go to Unjury.com and try it out. I still use it!

I couldn't do the bullets either! Now I buy pure protein shakes at GNC-
11oz. can with 35 grams of protein & the taste isn't that bad.

Mix the bullet in with water and sugar free crystal lite mix or even plain
sugar free koolaid..depending on how sweet you like your drinks. Makes a
good koolaid type protein drink. I like to mix one orange with one fruit
punch bullett in 2qt water with some wally's punch flavored mix to taste.
I get in my protein and fluid at the same time.
Good luck

I am two days out LapBand, and I'm using Unjury unflavored and Beneprotein
which is also unflavored. You can mix this powder in with anything you eat
or drink and you don't even know it's there. As long as you don't put it
in boiling hot liquid, it doesn't even change the consistancy of whatever
it is you're having. Unjury has more protein per serving, but I want to
use up the Beneprotein first. Good Luck.
