Question:
How long before I can return to the ring?
I am considering having the WLS and have pretty much decided to have it but the thing is I am a pro wrestler and I wanna know how long would it be before I can return to the ring after surgery? — thechosenonebigd (posted on December 22, 2007)

I am sure that would be according to what kind of WLS you have and your
doctor. No matter what you have done it is considered major surgery and
all that I have had have always taken 6-8 weeks, but again, like I said,
it's according to your doc.

Boy thats a question best asked of your surgeon but I would wild guess it
at a couple months. Highly recommend LAP procedure to minimize your chance
of getting hernias

Your question surprised me and caught me way off guard!
If you are a successful wrestler, why would you want to lose weight?
How much weight are you looking to lose? The surgeon would have the
ultimate decision, if you truly are wanting the surgery, find you a good
surgeon and discuss the surgery, your goals and the off work question.

while the weight may be a advantage when wrestling the co morbids still
exist, and can be fixed by weight loss.
