Question:
I had my 3rd fill and I still really tell that much of a difference is....
that normal? I'm at 2.5cc. I notice that some things I just can't eat anymore because it gets stuck in my chest. I did lose 4 lbs wile on the liquid diet and puree diet for 4 days. — kbcelliott (posted on August 26, 2007)

Three to five fills are normal for most bands. If you are having problems
with some stuff getting "stuck" the band is starting to work.
Let the band work for you and don't fight it and you should do very well.
I have had my band for over 4 years, so feel free to let me know if you
have any questions I can help you with. Keep up the good work!

Things "kicked" in on my 3rd fill too. Consider yourself lucky
that it started to work so quickly. If things get stuck a lot, you may
need to take smaller bites and chew more. This is how the band works. It
forces us to slow down. Good luck!

I am soooo glad to hear that someone other than me is not seeing immediate
results - I've had my 2nd fill and I'm at 1cc -I live about 1.5 hours from
my doctor and he wants to take it slow - today at lunch I began to have
some problems with swallowing and realized that I was eating very fast - I
slowed down and felt much better - but was "chocked" for about 20
minutes or so. I have lost 25.5 pounds since surgery on June 8, 2007 - I
was hoping for a faster weight loss - but now that I've only had the 2
adjustments and hopefully with the next one will make more progress. I know
that we've not had the gastric bypass and I knew that the weight loss would
be slower but it is up setting when you see that some people have lost 152
pounds in about 5 months or less - but I feel good and know that I did not
gain the weight over night and won't loose it overnight either. Hang in
there !!!!!! PS - what liquid diet and puree diet - is this the cleasning
before the surgery ????
